okay so here i am.
im in lille. the first few days here were not fun. i was stressed because i couldnt find a place to live, lille wasnt paris, and basically all i wanted to do was go home. now however, i can relax a little because i have found a place! :) its actually really nice, its a studio apartment below the family who owns the house. but ill have my own bathroom, an oven, a refrigerator, and a large closet! :) yaaaaaaaaaaaay! and theres a door that opens out into the patio and i can use their washer and dryer as part of the rent so that works well. all the utilites are included and everything. which is awesome. its close to both my schools but also downtown lille as well, so it works out nice.
my french is better than i remember actually. i think by the time im done here ill be fluent, which was the whole idea of coming here. i actually havent started teaching yet, i start on thursday but this coming week im going to sit in on a few classes to see how things in a french school work. im a little nervous but itll turn out okay. i just cant wait for the first break so i can hit up paris. yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
