a call that ended too soon

soft raindrops fall to the ground as the sun disappears beneath the green horizon. Watching it from the inside, though i can feel the rain on my warm body. Nose pressed against the window, waiting anxiously to see what happens next. A light breeze picks up as the once calm rain turns to harder faster drops of water. Hands now touching the glass, anticipating the sounds of crashes in the black sky. A load roar hits my ears as an angry wave hits the rocks in a violent strom. My chest now joins my hands and nose on the barrier that's keeping my from you. Eyes scan the vast open Heavens for a flash of light. A bolt of lightning makes its presence known, as does the thunder. Another jolt, though in my body. It's so powerful, taking hold of me. attentively watching the thunderstorm like ive never witnessed one, but something inside me is filling every inch of me. All of a sudden, the rain stops, and its companions, the thunder and lightning cease to exist. My excitement dies as you say goodbye and the phone line goes dead.
