Last Wednesday I went to the movies with some friends. Crash. Still trying to figure out whether I liked it or not. I know that sounds quite negative. But I really don't feel that way. It's a movie with a lot of story lines that at one point or another come together. All story lines have underlying racial connotations. And that's why I really don't know wether to like it or not. Some things are funny, some things are tear jerking, some things are outrageous. But then that's the point with racial things.

Maybe I don't like the movie as a whole but there are certainly some scenes that caught my attention and which I like very much. I think when I look closer to try and find the reason why I love those scenes it's because they stand above racial connotations. They could be played in a white family, an african family, a mexican family, an asian family, whatever. It really is hard to explain. Anyway, part of me is glad that I saw the movie because it's good to think about some of these things sometimes.
