Busy week
Last week was really busy. Alas, not in my spare time, no at work. *sighs* We got a new manager, better than the last interim manager, but it is resulting in more work and I hope it will get better once he's more "at home" in the organisation.
I also had lots of appointments in my free time. *bounces* :D I went to the movies on Thursday night with a couple of friends. We chose Bobby. The movie about Robert Kennedy. It was a movie that gave lots of insights on that particular periode in the America society. That was nice. Lots of different story lines. Some were really funny. One particular scene made me almost fall of my chair from laughter. *giggles in remembrance* Of course the movie is sad too, because of the ending of the movie. I won't say anything for people that still want to see it. However, should you be familiar with the story of Robert Kennedy you already know what the end of the movie will be about.
Yesterday, Friday, I had a meeting in a cafe with two fellow bookcrossers. We wanted to check if that cafe was interested in us starting a BC zone in it. First we just chatted and made fun while having a drink. Then we asked, or rather, one of us asked one of the barmen. He thought we were part of a sect. Ouch! That hurts. We were rather reluctant to try again. At the time we wanted to leave the cafe one of use spoke to that particular barman again. Ok, so now he knows we are NOT a sect. We even got permission to leave a book behind. The girl that asked and myself will go to the cafe tomorrow again. In the hope then it will be less crowdy and so we should have a better opportunity to tell about what it is we want to do. If nothing works out for that cafe, we will visit to more places. :D
