Hey guys,
Would you like to read MEFA reviews by email? Starting on 16-July, reviews given the status "Final" will be displayed at the MEFA website. However, many members like to read them by email, and Annmarwalk has generously agreed to post reviews to both LJ and Yahoo.
--- We have set up a special Yahoo group for this purpose, mefa-reviews. You may join by visiting
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mefa-reviews
and may opt to either receive the posts by email, or to read them at that group page.
--- Reviews will also be posted to the mefas LJ community, under the tag "review posting 2010." You can track that tag, so you receive an email whenever Ann posts reviews. (Or just "friend" this journal, and receive the reviews on your LJ friends page.)

Our reviews are also available at the MEFA webpage, and some people prefer to read them there. But there is a real advantage to getting the reviews by email. It reminds you that the MEFAs are going on, and lets you see when you or friends get a new review, without having to log into a website. One thing veteran members will tell you is that it is entirely too easy to wait too long to get involved. So if you want to review, getting an email each day can be a much-needed nudge toward doing that.
(Of course the webpage has its own advantages. You are free to read at the website if you prefer, but for some people, getting reviews by email is the way to go.)
Go ahead and join up, either at LJ or Yahoo, so you'll be all set up for when reviews are made public on 16-July.
P.S. - If you have entered Final reviews, 15-July is the last day you will be able to edit them. After that, they will be displayed to everyone. If you need to edit your reviews, make sure you have given them the status "Hidden," which will let you edit them through the end of the awards.
