Greece Is The Word....Part I (Day Tour)

May 31, 2005 04:47

I've finally gotten around to attempting to post about my short trip to Greece with my dad. Its only taken me a week or two. Originally I was going to actually write about what I did, but now I'm too lazy. Instead, I'm just going to post cuts that will explain that section of pictures. I apologize ahead of time for how picture heavy this will be, but I took about 430 pics. I've cut it way down for the lj, but I think I'm going to do this in four posts so I don't flood you with pics (cuts and all). Hence the Part One. Three days of pictures taking, four posts. Thats how we play the game here. If you don't like it take your ball and go home.

These pics are from my first (full) day. We took a full day took out to several places way outside the city of Athens. We saw the Corinthian canal (not my pic, I didn't take one of that), the Myceneian tombs and the archeological sites, and finally, the theater of Epidaurus, known for its perfect acoustics. Seriously, crazy acoustics. Apparently if there is complete silence you can hear anything said from the center of the stage area. It never got that silent since there were tons of people, but its still pretty impressive. Day One in an awesomely crafted nutshell.
