a much needed update
So I know everyone has been dying to know what’s going on now that I’m back. Unfortunately because I don’t have my computer anymore its hard for me to find time to update my journal. But I promise I haven’t forgotten about you guys. So here is what’s been going on.
After I got the news that I got rehired they immediately told me that they did not have any merchandise positions open with my availability. So I had to either go on a wait list or choose another role. The only roles they had available were Custodial, QSFB, Pool Attendant, Turndown, Steward and Digital Photography. There is no way I was going to be custodial or do anything regarding food. As far as turndown, I rarely make my own bed and I have a dishwasher so there was no way I was going to be a steward. So I thought well maybe I could be a pool attendant until he told me it was at the all star resort and im like hell no. I’m not going to be a pool bitch and have to answer to people and keep bratty ass kids from running around the pool..no way! So then I thought well okay ill do digital photography. Then he said that was a separate interview and I didn’t want to take the chance and apply for that and not get hired. So I told him to just put me on the waiting list for merchandise.
So about 2 weeks have passed now and I called my recruiter back because my friend said that the jobline was filled with new positions and left him a message to see if anything opened up with my availability and later that day someone else from casting called me back and said they had a merchandise position open in Tommorrowland. So of course I jump on it and I went to casting last Wednesday and signed my life… AGAIN!
Then you have to go through this drawn out process of going to see the nurse and getting your finger prints done which is weird that they would rather do your fingerprints instead of a drug test. So when it was my turn they said congratulations and welcome to the company and I swear I had a warm feeling come over me. (or it could have been the burrito I had for lunch, but I digress) So then I went in and watched a corny video and they assigned my Traditions date for Saturday Nov. 13, 2004 at 7:15am..(there go my plans for Friday night) BUT ill be out by 4 and still be able to go to Super Soap Weekend!! So what im going to do is go over to the Emporium and see if any of my managers are still there and beg and plead to get me back there.
Enough about that stuff..on to the juicy stuff. So in my previous posts I complained that every guy I met here was gay. Well I figured it out. Ive kept my same standards for guys that I had in Chicago which was a big mistake. Every guy that was my “type” here was gay. So we went to Bar Orlando on Friday and I was just minding my own business dancing on the bar and this guy approaches me and asks me to dance with him. Now when MOST guys want to dance with me they just want to grind on my ass and make me well aware of their “presence”. But not Danny, he kind of held me when we danced and it was kinda sweet. Then when we were talking at the bar he caressed my back which normally would totally turn me off but it didn’t this time. He’s not exactly someone I would consider hot by any means but he is attractive and I like his personality. So we have plans to meet Friday for a few drinks.
Could this mean that things are starting to come around for me? Lets hope!! Tune in next time for more on the Soap Opera that is my life.
