So I worked my first shift at the Grind yesterday. It was probably one of my favorite 4-hour periods at W&M thus far. So much fun. I closed up with the illustrious Brett Roth, who was super fun to work with, not to mention brought along some awesome tunes. I CAN MAKE DRINKS YAYZZZ! Working again Friday 2-6. Did you know $6/hour was a legal wage? I guess it is in VA...haha whatever. The job rocks so much that it doesn't matter. I just rememebered that Brett and I forgot to split up the tip jar...a whole buck lost! Froon.
A cappella concert last night was pretty good...Doubletake was really really impressive. Cover of Toxic = amazing. I liked Lucia's group too, although now I forget their name. Cute little rendition of the alma mater that's sort of been stuck in my head forever.
Currently I am sipping some Tazo Calm tea to try and induce myself to nap after a block of 2 extremely interesting classes. Wenska is the man. Like Jimmy Buffet, as Sally said. Her boyfriend, Chase, is actually in that class....so that's cool. Then at 12:30 I had Theory of Lit with Heacox and I was expecting to be bored to tears, but I think it's actually my favorite class so far. Heacox is the man. He's so brilliant and class was really engaging. I still don't know the answer to "What is art?" but it was interesting to discuss.
This tea rocks. I feel vaguely like I'm getting sick -> would suck.
To do - order books online, put up posters and photos, post recent pics on facebook. Right. I want to take some more pictures of campus but the forecast calls for a solid week (or more) of thunderstorms. It's hard to complain, because at least it's not 95 anymore. What does it say about me/the South that today it's 76 degrees...and it feels chilly? Oh Williamsburg.
Working on things. Thinking about things. I loved going to class the past two days but I'm kind of glad it's almost the weekend. I need to regroup. I am in a constant state of needing to regroup.
