1. Stella is originally from Belladonna Cove. Morty's parents moved there from Riverblossom Hills when he was just a baby, and growing up he and Stella both went to the same school, but they never spent any time together as children.
2. It was their parents who introduced Morty and Stella to each other. Stella wouldn't go as far as calling it an arranged marriage, but it was certainly encouraged.
3. She and Morty had and still have very little in common, besides wealthy parents. While she enjoyed partying and going out with friends, Morty was always a little eccentric, and very focused on his work, which also required him to travel a lot. This wasn't much of a problem while they still lived in Belladonna Cove, where Stella had all her friends. Everything changed when they moved to Riverblossom Hills.
4. Stella was the only one in the family who wasn't thrilled about the move. She had never even liked going to visit Morty's older cousin Betty (who sort of creeped her out, even if she never said so out loud). Morty and the children were very enthusiastic about it, though, and she realised she was fighting a losing battle and quickly gave in.
5. Stella was never expected to make a career, her parents simply wanted her to marry well. She never gave this much thought before moving to Riverblossom Hills, but after living there for a while, she decided to take up a part-time job out of sheer boredom. It didn't last for very long.
