Desiderata Valley #2 - The Joques & (The) Mole(s)

Jun 20, 2008 20:41

Some more Desiderata Valley families. First we have the Joques, with mum and dad Sophia and Marcel and teen daughter Violet. Sophia has a man chin. They wanted another baby and we let them try, but it didn't work. We were a little relieved.

By far, Violet is the best looking of them anyway, so they really couldn't do any better. Here she is going to work. She wants to be a terrific athlete, so I think we got her a teen career in that.

Marcel: I'M HOME! :D :D :D

No one cares, Marcel. Stupid Family sims.

He's got some nice pieces of flair there. Marcel likes food and is in the culinary career. His secondary aspiration is Grilled Cheese. We won't be doing that a lot.

I love Marcel's 'teeheehee' expression here as he spies on Mortimer. Morty is the subject of all spying in the giant merged hood, the poor guy, and we even have a hack to stop the spy-slapping so he can't take revenge on anyone either.

Sophia: How are you ever going to be a chef when you keep burning the goddamn spaghetti? How do you even do that?

Marcel: Spaghetti is HARD, okay? Besides, Violet thinks it's good.

Violet: Nom nom nom.

The Joques have an indoor pool table. Lucky bastards.

Angela Pleasant, who has a habit of following every single teen home, has found her way to Violet's house as well.

Angela: So I totally know this guy from Strangetown, his name's Tank. I know, weird name, huh? And he's got this freaky army face paint. But damn, he is HOT!

We found out why the Pleasants don't have a bar at home. Appearently, Angela is a drunk. This is what she did practically the whole time she was there.

Violet did force her to watch a football game with her, though. Violet's hobby is sports, Sophia's is fitness and Marcel's is...

...well, food.

Sophia: Look, I know you love grilled cheese, but do you have to make it for every meal? I think I prefered the burnt spaghetti.

Marcel & Violet: Nom nom nom.

My SO wants me to mention that he took all the pictures for the Joque family. It's not that I don't let him play... it's just that... um... he's happier watching. Honest.

(The) Mole(s)

John Mole is in the SCIA, but his secret dream is to be an author. He decides to break the tradition of loneliness and quits his job to pursue a career in journalism.

John marries his live-in girlfriend, Sharon Wirth, who is Hannah Bell's sister. Sharon is now Sharon Mole.

There is RAIN on their WEDDING DAY. It's totally IRONIC wet.

Sharon is a Romance sim, but if I remember correctly she actually had a want to marry John. Don't you love her dress? They totally look like James Bond and some Bond girl. Except that they're getting married. That usually doesn't happen in Bond movies. Well, there was that one time, but that didn't end well. Let's not tell Sharon.

John works in the journalism career now. He also looks less like Neo, with a more normal shirt and all. That's the car that he restored himself, it's nice and silver.

Sharon, meanwhile, continues to work on her dance career. She has a fear to have a baby, so that's not going to happen, I guess. ...Yet. (Dun dun dun.) Will she keep her romancing ways under control? Will they move to a less bland and bigger house? Will aliens take over the world? Find out in a few weeks when we reach this household again.

Oh, random note: We switched to Lyran's default replacement skins with this round in DV. They're very much like the Maxis skins, but slightly prettier. These really are the only replacement skins that I can stand having in my game. I've tried others, but they just look wrong.

And that's got nothing to do with elitism, lol simsecrets.

wirth, old stuff, old megahood, jocque, mole, desiderata valley
