The Newsons... What to say about the Newsons? They are a challenge, that's for sure, at least until the two toddlers grow up.
We placed them downtown in one of those second-biggest-type houses.
Their house! All made-over, but you can't really see that from the outside.
Gavin and Garrett. All these names are going to be hard to keep apart.
1 hour in... Kids running around, newspaper delivery and food delivery (we have a hack that makes fridges start out empty).
2 hours in. Typical Newson chaos.
Georgia.
Mary Gavigan came to visit (welcome wagon). I think she might be a bit appalled at all these children living alone.
I think Garrett might be an evil genius in working.
Gavin looks for a job. He got one in the Gamer career, I think.
Gabriella and Gallagher, the two ignored ones.
Ginger and Georgia dancing.
Breakfast. Everyone is off to school, except Ginger, who has a hard day of babysitting ahead of her.
She's gonna need a lot of that for the next few days.
Gabriella and Gallagher are still ignored by their older siblings and are keeping each other entertained.
Learning to walk.
Gallagher has had enough of it all and is waiting for the school bus half an hour early. In the rain. In his pyjamas.
Definitely evil.
Just a run-of-the-mill tree fire.
Except the rain stopped so they needed the fire department to come in.
Justin Kim: If you hate it so much here, why don't you just pack your suitcases and run away?
Finally... bedtime.
A few hours later...
Huggle!
Aww.
I think Georgia is trying to strangle him.
Gallagher: Hey, what's wrong sis?
Gabriella: I got a D! And I'm sure you did, too.
Gallagher: Really? I'm sure it can't be that bad...
Gabriella: *stomp stomp*
Gallagher: ...Oh.
Gallagher: Crap!
Fear not - it is finally time for the twins' birthday.
Marcus, friend of every kid, helps eating the birthday cake.
A somewhat lousy picture of newly transitioned Georgia and Garrett (and Ginger).
And at long last, Gavin and Ginger have time to help the middle children with their homework.
The social worker warning message was popping up all through the evening and night, though. We were pretty worried.
The twins in their upgraded bedroom.
After going to school with all their homework done, Gallagher and Gabriella got their grades up to a weak C, and the social worker scare was over. Gavin, on the other hand...
...did not do so well.
Better get to work.
With less toddler chaos in the household, we found the time for some makeovers.
The whole happy family having dinner together. Phew. Challenge over.
