Yeah, I saw that Pescado'd said that too, so I was also a bit worried, but lots of people have also reported using them with no problem, so... yeah. I'm not sure. I've been fiddling around a LOT with my neighbourhood though. I went through and cleaned up all the garbage memories, wants and relationships, fixed wrong memories and family relationships, fixed bad DNA and added recessives, and deleted all broken dead characters, created new ones (not grandparents, though, it was too much), killed them, and tied them in to the living sims. There's complete graveyards in both Pleasantview and Strangetown now. I even replaced all the graves in Olive's graveyard! I also created a new Bella, since the old one didn't have DNA. Phew. THEN I joined the two neighbourhoods by adding PV as ST's shopping district.
So... if I didn't mess up anything in the process there that's more likely to make my neighbourhood become a Big Fiery Ball Visible From Space somewhere down the line... well, I don't think adding Tara Kat can have done anything too bad.
Anyway. I think the whole Beaker house has a variety of that stone wall, doesn't it? Circe doesn't want Bella meddling with her test subject, she thinks it would lead to trouble (and it would). So she keeps them apart.
It is a lot of history, yeah. I'm glad it came across more as conversation/gossip than a list of facts, though, 'cause I tried really hard to do that. :) Thank you!
Yeah, it is easier to Maxis-match than not, since, well, everything non-Maxis is in different styles, so how are you going to match it all, even without the problem of Maxis-stuff that can't be replaced? I think the cleanness is in part my good graphics card, maybe. Also I try to make the shots from good angles, so they're centered well and don't have too much clutter. A lot of shots get discarded along the way.
I'm not gonna say too much about where Mary-Sue is going, or I might end up revealing the whole thing. But you are on the right track. :) ...I feel a bit bad that she's not going to Veronaville, now. >_>
But, yes. Thank you. :) Your (and everyone else's) nice comments mean a lot to me!
Totally random nosy comment, but I've been playing with the Kims (at least, not so much with Kat tho) for way too long to know that are no buggy at all!! :P They had been breed and moved and breed and moved several times on my games already and never had a prob with them so far. ;)
And besides I've read/heard similar things about ST, PV, other bin-sims, etc etc. *shrug*
Its pretty much the urban legend of sims imo: maxis sims are bad, they'll bork your game *plays scary music on the background*
I think the thing is, there is so many little things wrong with the Maxis neighbourhoods and sims - especially the base game ones - that there probably IS a chance that things will get messed up, especially if you start poking at the dead sims etc. So yeah, your neighbourhood won't necessarily blow up, but it MIGHT. I think I eliminated some of that by deleting all the broken character files, but we'll see. Pescado is a bit paranoid, possibly. ;) And also, I rarely (sadly) play my neighbourhoods for 5++ generations, which is when things usually start going bad, I gather.
Yeah, the part of playing too many generations is true. I also think that is when most of the problems could start showing (Tho i never play that long either, but seen/read about it happening too often), but it can happen the same way either playing with CC hoods and sim or Maxis ones.
Plus in general your game(general *your* :P) might blow up for countless reasons anyways, so if it is for being paranoic O_0 .... better not use hacks, or CC, or create new hoods, or play around with simpe, or use cheat, never use boolprop, or insim or inteen, etc, etc
in TL/DR ... Its a highly complex, customizable and manipulable computer game. It might blow up. (Period) XD

Don't worry about the Veronaville thing...I just want to see a good writer do something with the Veronaville sims, because they're so seldom used.
(And anytime :))
