Does God exist? Hopefully this question will be simpler than my last question. Please share ur opinions.

Sometimes, I question that as well, but I can go outside and see God. Like the intricate details of simple things, such as a leaf for example. I think something greater had to have created all of this. It's the only thing that seems logical to me personally.

Sometimes I question whether there is a God because of all the bad things that happen to people. Why does God let this happen? I honestly believe God made Earth and everything in it and everything that was in it, and that this particular God wouldn't destroy His own creation. We want to blame God for the bad stuff, but I think that people, me and you and everyone else, we try to become a god ourselves. We corrupt others and the things around us. It's a funneling cycle of corruption. Bad things happen to good people, because bad things happen, not because they are good people.

I'm not sure if I answered this properly or efficiently, but I guess a God is who you make him, or what you're willing to give him credit for. Whether there really is a God or not, it is still nice at least pretending to be hopeful for something greater than what we are.

I dont quite agree with what you are saying here. For if God is truly who u make him, then people can come up with some pretty weird interpretations of him. Your interpretation of god seems to be a kind of existential interpretation of God. With God being just a "leap of faith." In existential thinking, the person has no basis or reason for what they believe, just that it gives their life a meaning or purpose.

As for the rest of the statement saying that "it is still nice at least pretending." I dont really agree with this either because human beings have a longing for the truth. It would be very hard for us to pretend that God exist. Here im going to use the Matrix as an example. In the first movie, after Neo has been freed, he asks Morpheus, "So i cant go back can I?" Morpheus replies by saying, "If u could, would u really want to." The reason Morpheus says this is because in the very nature of man is a longing to be in touch with reality. It would be very difficult to live a lie. This very crucial point is also made in Vanilla Sky. Therefore, its not enough that we make our own interpretation of God or pretend that there is one. We want to actually be in touch with divine reality and know God. Therefore, there has to be some sort of objective truth or something outside of us that lets us know that what we believe in is in fact true.

this is kind of a [insert word im trying to think of here] statement. its a misconception to think that all people think exactly the same. its impossible for everyone to think and interpret "god" or anything else the same. you cant just put everyone into a category that everyone longs for the truth, just because its human nature.

i dont even know if im saying what i wanted to get across, but , i dont know. im not really good with words sometimes...
