About Me.
I started that 30 day challenge thing on Tumblr, but the first day's entry is pretty good to use as in intro post for those who would like to know more information about me. :)
1. I was born in Korea but adopted when I was 3 months old and came to live and still reside in New Jersey. I love my family. I have 2 brothers and my dad. My mom passed away a year and a half ago, which has deeply affected all of us.
2. Even though I’m from New Jersey, I have never seen 1 episode of “Jersey Shore” nor “Jerseylicious” or any other Jersey-centric show.
3. I just turned 25 in August. Yes guys, I’m 25.
4. I’ve recently decided I’m satisfied with the person I am, even with all my faults. Sometimes I do get down on myself, but it doesn’t change the fact that I like the person I am.
5. I suck at making conversation with new people/people I hardly know…BIG TIME. I feel sorry for anyone who attempts to converse with me sometimes because I really do not know how to continue a conversation.
6. Even though I really enjoy hanging out with friends and going to bars with others, I really don’t mind being alone and going out by myself to places; and I don’t wait around for people to try to make plans with me. If I want to do something or go somewhere, I do it.
7. About 90% of the bands I listen to, majority of people don’t really know; and I’d like to keep it that way as long as possible.
8. I’ve started listening to a lot of local NJ bands and going to local shows.
9. I’m a huge anime nerd. So much so that I already have an anime-related tattoo and am planning others.
10. I have my English degree and my K-12 Education degree, even though I’m not doing anything with either of those right now.
11. I think I’m a pretty humble and laid back person. I don’t really let things get to me too much, and I try to be as optimistic as possible. I also really try not to judge people until I get to know them.
12. I was raised Catholic, but I don’t associate myself with any religious denomination. I just believe in being a good person, living a good life, and being the best person I can be.
13. You can often find me with music blaring and me singing along to it…loudly and badly.
14. I’m OBSESSED with Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.
15. No, I’m not dating anyone currently. I’m talking to someone, but I’m just taking things as they come. I don’t really care that I’m not in a relationship, don’t care I’m not married (or really care about marriage in general), and I’m not obsessing over having kids.
