Moira had her 6 month check-up on Friday. She weighed 19 pounds 2 ounces and is 28 1/2 inches long. She is off the chart for 6 month olds and in the 95th percentile for 7 month olds (she is between the 2 age groups right now). We thought she was getting heavier, although she doesn't have a lot of fat rolls (she's just big). She's rolling all over the place and has started getting up on all fours and rocking. She'll be crawling soon and then we'll really be in trouble. She's already really difficult to hold on to (squirmy and strong).
On another happy note, Erin had a check-up at the same time to look at her ears. On her first visit here, the doc detected some fluid behind her eardrums. She's had tubes, but her first pair had fallen out. We were afraid she was destined for another set. Happily, the doc detected no fluid this time and her eardrums passed the air pressure test. Hurray, no tubes for Erin. She's having no trouble hearing and picking up new words (Her latest is "movie" although it sounds like "moo-we" right now). She's also learning some Spanish (her babysitter speaks Spanish to her).
