History with JJ (had no idea), Math 121 (some girl said a plane or something hit a building in NYC (no big deal). work at Archbold fitness center... four hours of NPR on every station listening to everything that happened... wondering if my uncle was ok, wondering if Mara was ok... a girl freaked out when she walked in and heard it on the radio (she hadn't heard anything yet)... literally started bawling and screaming. Went back to Crouse... classes were cancelled for the rest of the day, went home and watched it on TV with my dad while he's trying to reach my uncles and grandmother.
Today, at my home school they did a flag salute, a moment a silence, and the entire school on the front lawn saying the pledge of allegience... it was.... so moving and so amazing and it you could hear the pledge echo for a few seconds through the desert... I had to turne off the radio it was on so much today... my kids don't really understand how much this affects and moves me.... because NYC is this far off distant land that they have never been to.... most have never left CA except to go to Mexico.
