So the last pictures were what my sister took, so these are what I took (barely any, 'cause I took more than 500 pictures..mostly of random tourist stuff)
So this was me, trying to get myself with a church in the background, early on in our trip
And driving through Tuscany. I seriously love these tree-lined roads. But it gets old when you drive A TON on a trip
And then once again we arrive in Rome
I love cute little kids feeding the fish at an old Roman Emporer's palace
Linnea seems to be enjoying herself...
I also love finding picture I probably didn't mean to take of random tourists with their shirts unbuttoned
Part 1 of Ms. Hale's Honors English Class: Where Caesar was cremated!
I love cop cars at the Vatican. They are sooo sweet. And speedy for catching anyone trying to steal donations and the tithe...
My dad can't get a good picture of the Vatican. And he tries. And tries. While I take a picture of him trying.
And as we walked away from the Vatican I encounter several exciting things
Such as the Canadian Embassy, eh?
And some people sinning down the street..in full view of St. Peter's Church and God! I hope they don't plan to fornicate in that automobile!
So then we drove to Naples and I got super excited 'cause it was cloudy and rained a ton. So much we had to ford a stream a la Oregon Trail, to get to our mountain hotel
But then it cleared up and was sunny as we arrived at Pompeii hours later. Pompeii was ok, but I felt kind of sick there, and if you've seen one fresco-laden Vesuvius-destroyed house you've seen them all.
Although their two way streets..complete with stepping stones so you don't have to get your plebian feet dirty in the road. We demonstrate what the romans did. (My mom thinks it looks like the Pompeii version of Abbey Road.)
Linnea LOVES the dead bodies. She took about a million and a half pictures of them. For me they range on creepiness up there with eyeballs and sunken ships.
Did I mention how PURELY EVIL the audioguide was? He was really long winded and British. So I showed my displeasure by attempting to kill it(unsuccesfully. I probably would have owed money to Pompeii then)
As we were leaving Linnea and I noticed that Vesuvius was erupting again. So we panicked.
Back at our Hotel I showered. And discovered the largest towels known to man. And also found my future wedding dress.
We went to Naples then and saw really dirty frescoes and statues with monstrous penises in the Archealogical Museum of Naples..displaying what we didn't see in Pompeii.
We also me this guy!!
Part 2 of Ms. Hale's Honors English: Dante Aligheri!! He has his own Piazza dedicated to him.
Then we had the best ice cream EVER and the best pizza EVER. (Is anyone up to going to the NEapolitan Pizza place in downtown Seattle? A native Neapolitan said it was good when he went there)
After Naples we drove and drove and drove and reached Verena's house late at night. Where Verena discovered the eye pillows we got on the plane and FREAKED OUT in Verena-fashion.
Linnea and Verena bought dirndels, the female version of Lederhosen, while I just tried them on.. I have pictures on my cellphone of that. We also watched Bride and Prejudice, which we loved, and Closer, which confused us.
Then we left Verena to go to our Grandparents.
We also visited my aunt and my ugly partying cousin from a tiny village. I don't think i'll be visitng him when I'm older. And we met Hanna, our new exchange student. And we saw Die Insel..the Island in German
So yeah. That's basically it.
