ive been feeling sortof sentimental today.
wanted to go to the mall but i was waiting for the bus for an hour. i blame it on the protests against the immigration bill but if this was the cause i don't mind sacrificing mall today. AP said that the l.a. protest had a crowd of half a million people. wow! i do hope that this gets resolved in the senate and that a nice, immigrant friendly bill be passed into law.
anyway.
was listening to bonnie raitt's i can't make you love me, courtesy of my officemate:
Turn down the lights, turn down the bed
Turn down these voices inside my head
Lay down with me, tell me no lies
Just hold me close, don’t patronize - don’t patronize me
Chorus: cause I can’t make you love me if you don’t
You can’t make your heart feel something it won’t
Here in the dark, in these lonely hours
I will lay down my heart and I’ll feel the power
But you won’t, no you won’t
’cause I can’t make you love me, if you don’t
I’ll close my eyes, then I won’t see
The love you don’t feel when you’re holding me
Morning will come and I’ll do what’s right
Just give me till then to give up this fight
And I will give up this fight
Chorus: cause I can’t make you love me if you don’t
You can’t make your heart feel something it won’t
Here in the dark, in these lonely hours
I will lay down my heart and I’ll feel the power
But you won’t, no you won’t
’cause I can’t make you love me, if you don’t
it's such a sad, sad song. and for most of us, there has been one point in our lives when we were in love with someone who didnt love us back. i cant make you love me if you dont. just give me til then to give up this fight. wow. i wish i had written a song like this.
the koreanovela craze is on its way to the u.s. the americans are like really late with stuff. i mean in the philippines, we've been into this for the longest time and i remember i was into it already even before the local channels dubbed the korean soaps. only problem here, here the dvds are ultra expensive, as in. ive been able to buy just two previously viewed korean dvds at amoeba, problem was, theyre region 3 and my player is region 1 so i had to change regions on my laptop and will have to watch the dvds on my computer.
watched one tonight, i wish i had a wife. it was nice. will probably head on to amoeba when i have extra money and stock up on those korean dvds instead of watching stupid american films in the theater for more than $10 a ticket.
i officially did spring cleaning today. threw out some stuff. filed copies of the dyaryo as part of my portfolio. my cousin audrey is coming over tomorrow just to hang out. havent seen her since christmas. shes tamad to drive here even if im just 30 miles away and hello i cant always commute to her place on the weekends its too far since i dont have a car and the bus is erratic. so we're hanging out tomorrow, although i think i will end up tutoring her for the english part of her gmat. shes a whiz at math but camote in the english part. as for me, im camote in math but i can answer the english part with my eyes closed. sana both of us can take the gmat as a team. hee hee.
ive gotten back to continuing season 3 of ER. im inis with the episode union station, when susan lewis leaves chicago even if mark greene asks her to stay because he loves her. grrrr. ive read the spoilers and i now what will happen after but im still inis.
ive started watching the new season on tv thursdays and the love angle between neela and shane west's character is interesting.
