Doing stuff again!
I feel completely behind on LJ and like I'm never online anymore these days. But at least it's for a good reason- I've been going out and doing stuff more often, spending more time on job applications, working hard, and getting more sleep. And obsessively reading fanfic. ^__^ (moonriddler_mim, thank you *very* much for recommending Coming Home and Glass Houses!) So comments and posts may be sparse and sporadic, but I'm still around.
Had a great night last night. Left work early and went to San Jose for a hockey game. Apparently none of my co-workers except one knew I liked hockey- I forsee more sports conversations in my future with them. Ate some dinner and read on the bus to SJ, then picked up a ticket and drank coffee by the Guadalupe River until it was time to go in. Had a very good seat, 5th row in sec. 205, right by the Sharks' goal. Good game, even though Minnesota won 3-2. It was very close, went into overtime, and the two Thorntons scored for San Jose. Got home around midnight and happily fell asleep. I've *missed* hockey dearly for the last year and a half! So I'm gonna go to a lot of games between now and the end of the season, to make up for lost time.
Entered more citations into my historical database today. Found a card with the topic "Home for Anyone's Orphans". I thought that sounded so forlorn!
And maybe it's because I've been reading lots of Schwarz fic lately, but I've decided that David Bowie's "I'm Deranged" from the Lost Highway soundtrack really reminds me of Schuldig. The melody and lyrics really seem to fit what I've been reading of his character.
