What state do you live in? How long have you lived there?
Virginia. Since I was about 3-4, so roughly 23 years now!
I grew up in northern VA, but I now live in Charlottesville, which is more like central VA.
List five interesting tourist spots:
1. I guess the historic settlements like Jamestown and Williamsburg.
2. more historic towns like Alexandria, Fredericksburg and Richmond (lol) I suppose.
3. Ummm... King's Dominion? (a Paramount theme park in case you don't know)
4. Beachy stuff like at Virginia Beach or hiking mountain stuff or lakes orrrr farms?
5. OK I give up and list DC as an interesting tourist thing, haha.
List five interesting facts about your state:
1. Out of all of the states, the highest number of presidents have been born in Virginia
2. Jamestown was the first permanent English settlement in North America
3. According to the last census, Virginia had the most (15) counties and cities listed as in the top 100 wealthiest in the country. Yeah, I totally used wikipedia for that. We also have the highest concentration of technology workers in the country. Its called Herndon, duh!
4. Musicians/bands such as the Dave Mathews Band, Missy Elliot and GWAR are from here.
5. Our slogan is 'Virginia is for lovers!'
List five TV shows or movies set in your state:
1. DONNIE DARKO. Yeah, some fictional town of Middlesex.
2. Minority Report (mainly in the Arlington area)
3. Any movie that shows the Pentagon, I'm sure there are some.
4. Parts of the X-Files and Millennium
5. A Different World (yeah I SO used to watch this show!!!)
List five famous residents (past or present):
1. Like I said, a ton of presidents and other politicians
2. Katie Couric
3. Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters
4. Jason Mraz
5. Warren Beatty
