Ummmm... so my cat's litter smelled like AMMONIA when i changed it today. Not the usual dirty-litter smell. Should I be worried? I mean, he seems fine otherwise but it was suggested to me that he may have a UTI.

cats with uti pee a lot (much like people) and sometimes in weird places (like the sink) . . . and their pee does smell weirder when it's fresh. i'm not sure i know what ammonia smells like. i assume it wasn't one since you posted the 4 days ago :P

Yeah, it seems that my cat has just figured out that he should meow at me while sitting in front of his box should the litter displease him. I'm grateful that he doesn't pee in the sink or the bathtub like I've heard other cats do.
