So my mom called me as I was leaving the lab this evening to tell me that my grandmother got an infection at her catheter site that has become septic. They've decided not to take heroic measures this time; now its just a matter of keeping her comfortable. I drove up as soon as I got some things packed, so here I am. My mom made me come home to take care of the dog for the night, and I'm just hoping that she hangs on until my uncles can come and see her. Sometime soon, though, this will be the end for her.
