I'm very proud of my mom right now. First, she got my grandparents to mail in their absentee ballots, which they would not have otherwise done. She also offered to drive their neighbor to the polling center on Tuesday to cast her vote, which Neighbor Lady would not have otherwise done. All of her efforts were, of course, contingent on the fact that none of them wanted to vote for Bush.
It's not much, but regardless of what happens on Tuesday, my mom has assured Kerry the votes of 3 elderly Texans who would not have voted otherwise. And I think that rocks.
