GO POTTY!

There's only one thing I dislike about my job at HFCC: faculty evaluations. Just like when you evaluate instructors in college, I have similar forms I'm asked to distribute. However, I don't like asking students to do me this favor (unless I've spent a considerable amount of time helping them and they are grateful). Usually, either the reference question they ask for help with is too simple and can be answered within a couple minutes, or they seem in a hurry. I don't like it, but it's something I can live with.

This student worker that works with me on Saturdays takes the bus to and from work. On one particularly cold Saturday, when I found out she lives on Fort Street in Lincoln Park, I offered to take her home. Thinking she was 30 years old or less, imagine my surprise when I learned she has kids my age. I had no idea. Her son is a student at HFCC. He also has class on Saturdays. Now guess who I am still driving home, plus one? I don't mind... she's nice, but her son is starting to creep me out. He keeps hitting on me, telling me, "You're lookin' good today," and offered to take me out even though I have a boyfriend. It's not even flattering because he probably does this to many girls, and is just desperate. The mom always thanks me and tries to offer me money. He doesn't even thank me, just leaves the car. One thing's for sure: I'm never driving him home without his mom. Ugh.

Aggie is doing well. She's best behaved when she's sleeping. :) Potty training is sometimes going good, and other times it seems we've taken a step back. It can be frustrating, especially at 3:00 in the morning when she's been wandering around the backyard for 15 minutes just playing with leaves. It's even worse that I have to follow her on a leash, since the weather hasn't allowed the fence to be installed. I had quite a sleepless week this past week, thanks to her. At least it will be over within a year instead of like 3-4 years like real parents!

Tulips, daffodils, strawberries and other things are coming up out of the ground. I really can't wait for the warmer weather to get here and stay. I know the rest of Michigan feels the same way. It's so close!
