I am officially done with graduate school and will receive my master's officially in mid-August. I guess finishing grad school should be a pretty big deal, but instead it feels so microscopic. I'm just thankful to be fully qualified to do... whatever and also to be done with homework for a long time. I am promising myself to not return to school for a looong time... until a future job forces me to take continuing ed. classes or something to that effect.

My Aunt Bev's husband is a librarian at HFCC's library. He has hooked me up with an every-other-Saturday job working as a reference librarian. I am quite excited to do this (except for the Saturday part). It's still a foot in the door plus more experience. I would definitely work there full time if the job was offered.

George is hosting a BBQ tomorrow for his friend who is in town from San Francisco. I was working hard at cleaning the house, when I walked to the back of the house and saw George diligently playing video games. It was at that moment when I decided to stop. If I finished cleaning tonight, G. would still busy me tomorrow running errands with him, etc. If I continue cleaning tomorrow, he alone will have to take care of all the errand-running by himself which he hates. But for playing video games, he deserves it.

Sunday is my mom's birthday. Happy Birthday, Mom!
