the children are dressed in white gown, including myself. I am around 10, playing with other girls of the same age. one girl suggested we look for "the prince." we agreed because it sounded fun

So, this mummy is someone you actually knew in real life? :< How long haven't you seen him? Are this ghost called 'prince' and the mummified body connected?
Wow... I can imagine standing there, recognising this guy, and feeling the angry words, the frustration for the way that friendship turned awkward, well up without the intention to speak them. No blame, but how about that chill? And the ragged breathing? It is so sad... ;_;
Reminds me of a very vivid dream I had when I was 16, about an ex-classmate who committed suicide two months prior. It started with 'being chased', in a sand-coloured deserted 1001 nights faerie tale town, though I do not know by what or whom. Then, there he was, and we hugged, looked each other deep in the eyes... I could feel his embrace, see the shine in his eyes, but the mirror leaning against a wall on my right showed only me, hugging thin air. His smile then looked wrong, because I realised he must be dead, and I was hugging a memory, or a ghost. It was the moment where I had to let go. Gods, thinking about this dream still shakes me. T_T Poignant, heartsobbingly so.
... Why would you dream about S now? Have you recently been thinking about things associated with him? Have you met anyone new or picked up hobbies or books that remind you of him somehow? How about Buddhism class? And when did you find out S moved?
Yes, I too think the mummy is what the girls called "the prince." when I found it first I wasn't sure but it gradually came to me this horrible breathing body might be the source of scary and romantic rumors.... I would've felt ok if the mummy were dead, but it was a torture to hear that heavy breathing sound ( *_*)
What you went through at age 16 .... must have been a traumatic event. seeing how your dream with lurid details unsettled you so much. especially the part where you could feel the light of life of the person embracing you. Unlike me dreaming of someone whom I can find if I tried, the one you hugged won't return...

Is suicide rate high in the Netherlands...? Teenage suicide, that is shocking. I did not come across a student suicide when Japan has the highest rate of teenage suicide .... more than thirty thousand people commit suicide annually here. Many I met have experienced someone close to them commiting suicide.
I'm not sure why I dreamed of him after one year of not seeing him. Actually, I always worried that he would harm himself or in worst case commit suicide. maybe that's why? that I subconsciously think about him and pray he is well. :S
