Gundam W fever

Sep 14, 2007 16:20

I had the TV on at 10:30 pm because it's my habit to relax while watching the news. It happened to be on a different channel, though. I thought it was a joke when I saw/heard the prelude to the OP. Oh my god it's Gundam Wing O_O Ahhh the memories...!! Re-runs are nothing to be excited about in US because they usually air the series several times, ( Read more... )

No problem. ^~ I could burn some other albums that I think you will like, such as the one by (Dutch project) Ambeon.

You are courageous indeed. @_@ I usually make my browser window smaller, so LJ- and forumtexts do not go across the whole page (which I think is hard to read). It gladdens me to at least cover Heero's face with the browser window, because he always looks at me as if he is going to kill me for the comments I write. >:P

Have I ever told you that Steven was wearing his old blue-and-grey turtleneck when I fell for him? :9~ There was no way I could be saved from the attraction... like a moth to a flame. XD

There are more "TV-sites" like that one, that are more dependable. On this site some series pretend to be there, but whole bunches episodes of a series have been taken off the server. T_T A friend of mine knows the links to the other sites, but I always forget to ask him.

Cowboy Bebop is the series that have become a genre in itself. XD~! No, seriously. It is my very favourite, also because of the soundtrack that was made by Yoko Kanno. Love the sense of humour, the interaction between the characters and the refs to old 70's films (also the John Woo white pigeons). 8)

As for doujinshi... those nearly ruined FFVII for me. o_o;; Feel apprehensive about seeing doujinshi for other series I enjoy, for the same reason as you have. X(
The Robot fic was funny~ :D Too bad the story gets a bit confusing because of the dialogue (almost like a screenplay). I prefer writings that are a bit more 'narrative'. ;)

What sort of image were you looking for at the store?
The other day I was looking around in my old drawing dummies for GW pics, but all I found was Instructor Noin tickling Duo. <8|

Thank you so much! Can't wait for the cd's XD *jumps*
Hehe, my cell display is now Quatre... his big, blue-green eyes are staring at me! ( p _ q ) I'm afraid people will find me smiling at this picture. I could see why you have to cover Heero's face there ;D The Heero in the cell display would glare at me and I would have to glare back...then someone near me would see me and think I'm a pitiful otaku.

At the store I was looking for just sane GW merchandise, like character plastic sheets (that people here use with notebooks, you know, for writing) But all I found were sheets with insane pictures of Relena...one of which had all female GW characters as fairies. Noin tickling Duo.....gosh I wish such scene would be made into a poster or shitajiki plastic sheets! What an idea, now I think Noin and Duo would make a perfect couple (*__*) wonder if there was ever a fanfic with such pairing X) Interesting you like narrative stories, I can get impatient with details @_@ though the 13x5 fic I was talking about had the best narration ever and I just had to real all the chapters XD You would've loved that one... except the end of course. And I didn't know you liked FF. I've never played the game and I know nothing of the stories ^ ^ ; There are always FF cosplayers at anime expo's, the fandom is pretty big, I notice 8O

I would HAVE to watch Couboy Bebop then, if you like it so much O___O

Today I should be able to burn the CD's... waiting for the burning program. ^^; Will let you know when the package/envelope gets sent, so you'll know when to start tripping up mail delivery people. >;P

LOL~! XD Just as I thought... the Heero in my desktop image always starts glaring contests with me as well, and no matter how hard I try, he always wins. Fortunately, people in my school do not watch me closely enough to notice. ^^;
Quatre on your cell display~! ♥_♥ What type of cell phone do you have, and how big is the screen? Mine is a second-hand Nokia (do not know the type) with a small colour screen (29mm×29mm). Made it ring like a normal phone, because I get thoroughly embarrassed when my phone rings in public. =><=

The plastic sheets are used for writing? You mean, sort of like a ruler, so you are able to write in a straight line down? What an idea! ^^
GW FemCast as Faeries... that is a true horror. o_o; But, really Mimi, your drawing skills are amazing, so why don't you draw something yourself and put it in plastic? ^-^

Duo and Noin... No, Duo would say Noin has a mean streak. X)

See? SEE?? O_O She damn well knows he's ticklish. Mean streak, I tell ya. >;D
Sloppy doodle. Have tons of those, among which some 'porn' doodles, which I usually draw when I am angry about something. You do not want to see those. _^_;

Are you kidding? FF literally changed my life. m(_._)m
Used to be scared of anything having to do with computers, and I hated games with a vengeance. A friend of mine was playing FFVIII (PC version) at the time, and I was in awe of the graphics. (*o*) He then told me to go play FFVII on his Playstation... and I fell in love. For years I wanted to marry the game -- not Cloud, not Sephiroth, but the actual piece of software. ^¬^;
Yup, big fandom. Though methinks it's sad that most people are FFVII & FFVIII fans... Next to FFVII, my fave is FFIX, because of the faerietale-like atmosphere and the character graphics... *cuddles FFIX* And FFV &FFVI have really brilliant stories. >< Whaa~!

Would not shoot you if you decided not to watch CB... >^x^< Don't sweat it!

Aaaaww 8D *hugs both Duo and Noin* I love this cuddly character art... many would enjoy this kind of art more than some freaky doujinshi. Why don't you post more of your drawings? And your angry `porn` ones!? X3 How charming...

The type of cell I'm using probably isn't around abroad, I dunno...it says it's made by Sanyo.The screen is around 7cmx5cm. The shitajiki plastic sheet is used beneath a notebook page you're writing on so it doesn't leave any writing marks on the next page. (....I always thought that's what shitajiki was for, or maybe they're just like writing boards. ) Do they have those in US and Europe? I don't remember how it was in the US. All elementary school kids in Japan are provided their shitajiki sheets. I have my Pikachu one and transparent neon pink one. Last week I got Alex a shitajiki with her fave Jap boy :D I'm considering printing out some GW pics and arranging them to be made into a shitajiki. I've seen some shitajiki kits sold in stores.

I don't play games except Super Mario, Bucks Bunny, Tetris or Puyo-Puyo with my old Game Boy. I guess everyone now play Nintendo DS and those RPG games with systems I have no idea what they're called O_O;; So I know nothing about RPG series including FF, do you think I would be addicted if I played them? :) Anything you call your very favourite I want to try, including CB because anything you love must be good!
Ok, I will be praying for the cds' safe arrival. Thank you again for that ><

Gee... thanks! =^^= Well, I could show you more, ... *puts on serious face* ...but then I'd have to kill you.
Well, maybe. Too embarrassed. ><

That is a big screen. O_O I probably would be more interested in learning how the cell works if I had a spiffy screen like that, it is very tempting to put nice pics on the display. ^^
We do not have shitajiki here. '_' I wonder why? Sounds very practical, and coool. :) We do have blanco notebooks (without writing lines) that come with a cardboard sheet with lines on it, which are used the way you describe shitajiki, so you know how to write in straight lines. You definitely should compile nice pics for a shitajiki and just make one yourself. >:D

Oh, I am not completely up to date on game consoles and portable game devices. All I know is what Steven has (which actually is quite a lot O_o).
Hard to say whether you would be addicted. As for me, I am not really a Gamer, just someone who falls in love with graphics and fluffy RPG stories. ^^;; If you are like that, you just may become addicted. I know I was for quite some time~!

*blushes crimson* Really? You think too highly of me. =_^_=

Phew, have not yet sent the envelope. Was supposed to, but I need to finish a little silly project first. Hope the stuff will arrive in time for your B-day if I send it Friday or Saturday... Will let you know~! ^^/

Finally found the time to continue watching Jap GW. *_*

(*_*)HI!! I was just about to e-mail you but I think I'll do that here...
I found your gift on the table when I returned home from work last night! I'm sory I couldn't mail you as soon as it arrived >< But I've read the letters and listend to all the CD's before I went to sleep! XD **bows and hugs and kamehamehas vibes to your way** Thank you alot Kaye >(;__;) < Over here I have no friends who remembers my b-day... receiving your gift means so much for me (> <) (^O^) Hehehe Duo and Tetess shitajiki!! I'm sure everyone around me would be asking what the heck I'm using for notesheet, and I can proudly tell them it is an art by my GW fan friend from the Netherlands. I can't wait to show it off and freak them out ;D The Japanese words on there, I thought they were typed O_O but it's hand-written by you, right? You're already good with Japanese, I hope you keep up your skills and come work in Japan. Lol. The coin chocolate I find not-too-sugarly and tasty, my Grandma loves them too ^o^ / She showed interest in the Peanut eraser too Haha XD You know the finger-puppets, I can't help giggling at the look on their face... the myschievous but out-in-lala-land grin they have X)

...Which episode are you watching now? :)

Weeeeheeee~! Just got your Kamehameha vibes...
So glad the envelope arrived~! \^-^/ Too bad it wasn't there in time for your b-day. Blame the silly shitajiki art. (^.~)V

The words are indeed not typed, as I don't have Jap script on my laptop. Used Illustrator to draw the images and the Japanese characters. It took me ages to figure out what text to add to the sheet. I have a lot of books on Japanese (and impolite Japanese XD), and concocting the sentences was quite a "mad professor in a laboratory" sort of event. ~~\(@¬@)/~~
My actual knowledge of your language is not so great. Besides the notorious Kappa phrase, Igirisujin No Jamu and (recently added) KEKKOU DESU, I would not really know how to address to a Jap in his own language without consulting my books (in this gaijin Mad Professor way). (¬_¬);
Either way, it will be interesting to know what your friends think. ^-^/

You listened to all 7 CD's before going to sleep... Wow. You already liked WT, but what did you think about The Gathering, Ambeon and Stream of Passion? Wasn't familiar with that last one myself, but Steven said you may like it if you like WT.
You may also like Leaves' Eyes, a goth band from Norway with female singing. Didn't add it since the theme was Dutch Bands. X)

The coin chocolate is indeed good. X) My mom said you would also like the chocolate letters we have here around Sinterklaas time. Traditionally, people give each other the first letter of their name in chocolate.
What are your family members' names? When Vanessa and I come visit your Realm, methinks we should excuse ourselves for intruding... by bearing gifts of chocolate. >*-*<

Grandma needs a peanut eraser? XD I should have some more here. Man, I need to make a list. X)
The finger puppets made me laugh too. ^^ There were also Sinterklaas ones, but since you are a Netherlands freak you really needed to have the traditionally clothed Dutch farmer types. You could put them on the back of a thick marker pen and make their heads bob as you make drawings. >^o^<

... Episode, episode. O_o Next up is 8. I had to get back a little ways to get into the story again. Today I may watch some more, inbetween mailing hundreds of people and preparing ideas for pending school projects. ^o^/

Oh yes, the "Miiiihooooooooo~ hayaku watakushi wo korosunirasshaaaaiiii~~~~" from my prev post came from episode 4 or 5, where Relena stands on a plain and shouts out to the skies for Heero to kill her (not sure if I made out the words correctly).
Hate it when she acts like that, but it's hilarious how she is convinced that he is hiding out somewhere at sea and longing to hear her say that. She really must be more insane than I was at age 15. XD

but LJ stopped notifying me of comments for some reason, so I didn't see this comment by you until now! O___O;; So sorry for this late reply... I wonder what's wrong with the system -_=;; (hehe, this face looks funny)
You would have no problem learning japanese... In fact it's one of the easiest languages to speak and hear. And you already know many phrases :O Oh, remember my favourite Tofu no kadoni atama butsukete shinjimae? XD I need to make a list of workd and sayings you may like.
Yes I love the CD's *_* I think I liked The Gathering of the three, and Within Temptation is awesome O_O Angel, It's the Fear, Ice Queen, In Our Solemn Hour, etc ect, they're beautiful >o< I am making copies so my friends can listen to WT too X) Thank you so much for burning all these cd's for me ToT

Recently the new Gundam series began. Will write about that later...
Did I miss anything? Well, I will mail or comment later! ^o^/

No sweat~! ^^
Great to know WT did not turn out to be a disappointment. Been listening to WT on my MP3 player while walking in the park near my internship place during breaks... the autumn scenery and the music mix so well, I can hardly stand it. (><)~♥

I did remember that I had "Tofu no.." written down in an old diary, but I could not find it. Thanks for posting the phrase again~! :D
It would be a good idea to learn Japanese. Too busy at the moment to find the time or the mental calmth to attempt though. T_T
Very much interested in a list of sayings and phrases~! At the moment I do know some phrases, but they are altogether not really useful. People would take me for a blatant fool when I apologise with "Hontouni moushiwake arimasen" and a bow that smashes my nose to my knees, would they not? -_-;

Which new Gundam series do you mean?
As for me, I have been reading Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen. In the beginning methought it was just snobbish blather, but as the story progressed it became more interesting. And cute. ^^;
