I gathered enough guts to order a cup of coffee at Starbucks for the first time in my life.
-why would you be afraid of a cup of coffie at starbucks? this i would like to know! they're all over here, even in the south. all the bookstores here have them (so of course you know i would be there. booooksss! aughahhhh![drools on self like homer for a donut, but for books!]) so i'm familiar with them. and if that wasn't enough (with the starbucks at the barnes and nobles' and the joe muggs at the books a millions) they've started building SEPARATE starbucks in HSV now! there are at least 2 that i know of...
When you see all these folks walking with that Starbucks cup in their hands, you can't help but wonder what makes it so freaking popular. Just once... I thought. And ordered espresso. The person taking the order looked funny as I nervously asked for an M size, wishing to escape from this place soon. Later I understood what that funny look meant; espresso copana, if drank in the M size quantity, is more or less a toxic dose of chemicals.
-i have NEVER had any coffee! nor do i plan to. i get enough caffene as it is with soda. i don't wanna push my luck. so, like ciggies, coffee is something i don't wanna try (or at least only try once. it does smell nice, but i don't want any other bad habits). i've had Klingon klah (coffee, hot cocoa) and that wasn't too bad, just a little odd, and if i remember right, made me a bit jittery, but it wasn't anything i'd drink regularly.
The content was only 20cc. I guess it was sort of disappointing, the first coffee I ordered turning out to be itsy bitsy 20 cc in a cup. Anyway, I walked away excited with my first Starbucks in my hand. I gagged and spewed out everything into the cup. Not 10 seconds later it was ordered it went into the nearby trash can. It was wasted. Who on earth decided that is a beverage to be sold to humans? (O_+)
-now, hot chocolate! that is a thing i like! i do get that from time to time when i'm at B & N buying some books/magazines/manga. sometimes i just like to get some and thumb through the books. i do wish that they wouldn't make it SO HOT THOUGH! you can't do anything but hold it for 15 mins or so! and i wanna drink it NOW! but if i do, i'll get my tongue burnt, which i HATE. and ice cubes aren't a solution, they just thin out the mix. HC, a cookie and a book! yum!
-i don't think i'll ever be brave enough to really go for coffee. i don't want to become addicted to something else, and i'm too chicken to try. but otherwise, B & N and starbucks are pretty good! (don't have the scones for breakfast at joe muggs in the BAM! they're AWFUL!

Others may laugh but I never go into those café because I usually don't know what to do once I enter one of those places. I don't even understand the menu. I'm a major chicken XD Don't you think those freaky coffee cost too much? :P I need to go mix my van Houten cocoa in my lovely Hello Kitty cup! I'd also choose soda over a cup of Starbucks coffee ;)

you know what? i always stay outta range of the line or not look at the servers until i'm ready. i don't want my elbow jogged while i make my decision because i don't want to be pressured. then i walk up and order. yes, they ARE too expensive! i think they devalue the dollar with their prices. i don't have money to burn! and my parents taught me to value money... starbucks and barnes and nobles (buying is a sometimes thing. 2$ for a chocolate bar? i'm more likely to buy books or mags there. usually it's a chocolate chip cookie and a HC, left alone to cool down.
hello kitty! loved her since i first saw her. good design!
