blue sky

Being in my futon at night is like being boiled and stirred in a pot filled with sweet wishes and disturbing memories. I try to block my unwanted brain activity by breathing, but usually to no avail. Well, there is a thought that keeps popping up in my mind at night. And it makes my heart beat faster when it comes ( Read more... )

Ah, the rising tides of conformity...It's self-righteous, narrow-minded people like those instructors that turn creative, spiritual souls into lost, disillusioned misers and robs them of their self-esteem and identity.

It's obvious the instructors know **** about philosophical thinking because if they had half a brain they could see that what she said is philosophical and profound.

^^ you're right, they'd be the last ones to be philosophical!
I wish she retorted by saying that :(
Glad to see you again >

Can't remember where/when it was... elf242 March 7 2006, 01:21:17 UTC
but recently I went out at night to do something.
I looked up at the sky and stars, and looked,
and looked,
and looked some more....
and said to my self: "Self?! you need to do more stargazing!"
just spread out a blanket and pillow on the grass (and maybe a blanket as well. it is after all, march and still chilly, even though I do live in the South and not Missouri anymore. That would REALLY be cold stargazing! Coat weather...) and just stare and THINK aobut the stars and anything else I wanted. No radio, no stupid tv, or other Sh*t to distract. That would be good...

George Carlin once said: "children should spend more time daydreaming, rather than filling their time with endless activities such as soccer practice, d*ldo practice, scouts, wicca, etc. Just hours spending time looking at clouds..."

He said it much better than I, but the point is made, even if the exact flavor of the statement is lost by my imperfect memory.

Later,

T.

You stargaze? That's beautiful *'.'* I wish I could spread out a blanket and stargaze on my pillow in somewhere quiet and beautiful here. (Tokyo...is not a place to do that, sadly ;_;) I want to stargaze in futon outside in a chilly night!

I used to (well I still do) stare at the wall daydreaming in class when I was little. People always scolded me for doing that.

i knew i was going to be an artist (well really, no. not at the age of 5-9. but maybe my mom did) when i used to draw on all my homework pages. battleships and machine guns and x-wings and tie fighters. all on the borders. the teachers would complain about this (!). not that i didn't do my homework, i DID. but that i drew on the borders (drew on the borders, how considerate of me! =) did the teachers appreciate this? no, they did NOT). they sent notes politely complaining about this on my report cards ( ... )

I used to draw ALL OVER on the borders too. Actually, that's all I did during class. ^^; But I remember being really scared about the a**hole teachers finding it out and confiscating all my drawings. What’s disturbing, you know at "play time" the teacher and annoying classmates both used to complain if I stayed inside drawing. I was supposed to go outside and play with them like good normal child -_-+
I don't see many stars in Tokyo. It'd be a great experience to visit the quiet places like you mentioned just to have a night stargazing in nature. I've also heard South America is a great place to see bazillions of stars :)

Wow O.O I've gotta save this photo. Thanks for the link. Japan is nuts. *ashamed* I see that Italy is quite bright too, and North Korea is having... blackout :Q

What. you mean they made you take drugs? I can't believe that was legal! No, we don't give hyperactive kids drugs at school. It's been reported that kids with attention deficiencies are increasing rapidly. I don't know how that would change the ways of school, but drugs?? That is abuse, in my opinion. They chemically abused you, I would say. That scares me ( ... )
