This is the flipside to yesterday's Tony mix. It's equally sweet, romantic, mellow and mushy. I honestly don't know what's gotten into me recently.
It takes Alex a full three seasons to fall in love with Tony. (Appropriate mix title is appropriate.) But when she finally does, holy crap, it's gorgeous. In the beginning she was utterly convinced she didn't need anyone, could do everything on her own, a feeling left over from the end of her marriage, presumably. She was scared witless of the potential damage of getting into another relationship, but slowly, surely, Tony manages to pester and charm and persist his way into her life, and her heart (awww).
By series' end, she's asking him out on dates (even if he doesn't quite realise it at the time, it still counts), and gazing longingly at him during her mother's funeral, when she is at her lowest, and neediest. It's a beautiful, beautiful thing.
So, because I quite possibly have OCD and need things to be matchy-matchy, here's Alex's love letter to Tony. Because she loves him, even if it took her a little while to catch on.
