I absolutely agree with you that they've always had the potential for the never-ending conversation. You're right that even when they were at each other's throats in 4.01 they still had that drawn to each other thing going on and Alex had that instinctual positive reaction to him in spite of herself. Awww... I'm about to start rambling about destiny and kindred spirits or something awful like that. Someone stop me!
But, really, we saw them get so close to a conversation like you described so many times especially toward the end but there was always work or something else to distract them. I've no doubt that as soon as they got the chance they'd have gotten all chatty and porny just as you've written here.
The nerve of Alex not to have even one freaking freckle! How dare she? Always cheeky, that one. Maybe they're hiding and emerge when she gets some sun or something? It could just be that gloomy Bradfield weather that's been hiding them from us. Or Tony's just hallucinating from all the sex. That's not impossible.
You should absolutely have confidence. This was amazing! You managed to be both in character and just the right amount of hot without straying into dangerous territory with all the thrusting and so on and so forth. I wholeheartedly approve of you continuing this saga! In fact I will be one sad mammoth if you do not! *sad face* You don't want that, do you?

See, I thought you just might have had an inkling about Alex's hornbag capacities. How could you possibly have missed it?! (with skirts like hers.)
I think you've got every right to carry on about kindred spirits and soul mates etc. Sad as it is, I feel the same way. How else do you explain it? Carol leaves and suddenly this total fox appears in Tony's life, and they're just perfect together and complement each other and everything just easy and they just work. It's fate, it's always been fate, with these two. *hangs head in shame*
Only issue is, now instead of having that never-ending conversation, they're going to have the prospect of lots of sex to distract them instead of work. I guess they can chat afterward.

Well, thank you! I'm certainly planning to continue this little saga of sex and snogging, etc. I'm working diligently on an Alex-POV follow-up to this at the minute, although I'm finding it a tiny bit hard to write snuggly!Alex. I can totally picture her being that way in my head, but getting her head around it is not quite so easy, it seems. But hey, she'll come good. She always does!

Far be it from me to stop you. I wouldn't want to interrupt your creative process. Is it just me or do you think Tony would be a total pain on vacation? I just picture him being insanely hyper and unable to relax. Well, at least until Alex convinced hit to settle down probably via copious amounts of beach shagging. Then it would all be good.
I'm so looking forward to your Alex follow-up though I do recognize how snuggly!Alex could provide some challenges. However, I have complete faith in your ability to get that woman snuggling the bejeezus out of Tony (who I'm sure is a total sucker for snuggles)!
