"M stands for media" or "Disappointment in the goth scene"

I never really write in here anymore or even check out other ppl's ljs. If I get a comment or two, then I think I'll keep writing.
Repost from myspace:
Disappointed with myself really.
Clive Barker came out with a new novel on Halloween:
Mister B. Gone.
I loved his earlier works when he was acclaimed as the future of horror by Stephen King. Throughout middle school and highschool I was a snob, refused to read Stephen King, thinking he was inferior.
Brief History lesson, Clive went from "Horror" to what he coined as "Dark Fantasy". There have been a few of the more popular horror movies based on his work, most notably Hellraiser which seems to be a prerequisite for every goth kid. It was my first horror movie that I owned, not in a literal sense since I only rented it when I was in 5th grade, but that was my movie.
Like most goth kids in their youth I was drawn to demons and whatnot.
Anyway, his new novel is a first person narrative of the books namesake Jakabok Botch.
Oof, so yeah, I'm upset that I didn't hear about this sooner.
I guess no one reads anymore, at least not on myspace.
I think it's sad that I havent read a book since the summer when I was hospitalized.
Reading is fundamental folks!

In other media
Miss Nikie and I caught

Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium.

We loved it. We knew we would, had been waiting for a while to see it. We were full of fail the weekend it premiered in theaters, the theater was sold out so we watched Enchanted instead, which was just full of ppl like us that wanted to see Magorium.
Anyways, this entry, M stands for Magical too, which is what the movie was.
Very heartwarming and fun. I cried.
Go see it, be a kid again.
