The Week of Returning Roomies, Sleepovers and Piercings
This last week of summer has been a lot of fun and a whole lot of crazy. Monday consisted of me going over to Aaron's place to find Aaron, Ben and Nelle all ridiculously drunk and half passed out on the floor. They had gone to the Cubs game and tried drinking a beer every inning. Apparently after 6 they were done. So I pretty much sat around, got them McDonald's and watched them be ridiculous. Ben was laughing so hard at absolutely nothing for so long it was hilarious. Later on that evening Nelle and I went back to her place, set up her Wii and then played it. I have decided that I want a Wii and I'm not sure if I just want to buy one for myself for my birthday or actually wait till Christmas and have my parents buy one.
Tuesday, I spent 5 hours at a fieldwork orientation which wasn't overly informative and rather boring. Afterwards I headed over to Lakeview where I stopped by Starbuck's and said hi to Jenni and then proceeded over to Nelle's place. We played some Wii, ate a shit ton of Chinese food and watched some Disney movies. It was really fun because I can't remember the last time I had an honest to god sleepover and it just reminded me how fun those are.
Wednesday was crazy in the respect that Lindsay and Travis went and got piercings and I went along for the ride. Travis got his lip pierced and Lindsay got her vag pierced. That's right, her vag. I think she's absolutely crazy but it was so much fun being there for it. When we got back to the apartment I got to see it. That's right, I totally saw my roomie's vag but you know it happens.
When we got home I ended up going over to Jon's place to hang out. By the time I get there I'm soaking wet from the awesome rain and my purse has bled on half of my cream colored shit...sweet! I was not planning on staying at Jon's place for super long, but it got to be around 2:00 and that was when I started thinking, "Uhh, I really don't feel like going home alone now." But all of us were up and talking and just having a great time and the next thing I know pretty much it's 6:30 and we're all finally deciding we should go to bed. I passed out on Jon's bedroom floor (after he was super sweet and offered me his bed) for an hour and a half.
Around 8:30 I wake up from my phone beeping to see a text from Travis asking me to inform him when I'm coming home because Lindsay never let him into the apartment and he was still out in the hallway. I read that and felt so bad that I got up and got dressed and came back to the apartment. By the time I get back, Lindsay was actually awake and getting ready for work so she had let Travis back into the place, but he'd been in for like 3 minutes. The thought of Travis sleeping in front of our apartment door for 4 hours just makes me giggle.
The rest of Thursday was spent with me sleeping because I was going on an hour and a half of sleep and then watching the tornado like weather we were having. It was absolutely crazy outside. Unfortunately, roomie Ashley wasn't able to fly back because of how ridiculous the weather was. Travis and I watched Zodiac which is a very interesting and gripping movie. I had never heard of the Zodiac killer so the whole thing was new to me. Apparently, according to Travis, I should read the crime file libraries more often.
Today I went and bought my theology books (I have to go downtown to buy my sowk books), folders, notebooks and all that other good stuff. I was pretty much trying to keep busy until Ashley showed up. She arrived at the apartment around 5:30 and her, Victoria and I pretty much just sat around and watched Ash unpack before getting dinner.
After dinner we were all talking and Lindsay showed the vag piercing to Ash and Victoria because they wanted to see it. That got Ash talking about how she wanted to get her nipples pierced. Even Victoria was talking a wee bit about wanting to do that. I was like, "Well, I'm not going to pierce my nipples, but I'll get my nose pierced!" Ash started to talk herself out of it because Vic decided she wasn't going to do it, but Lindsay and I were able to talk her back into it. So for the second time this week Lindsay and I along with Ash and Lindsay's friend Andrea headed to Jade Dragon. Ash did indeed get her nipples pierced (hurt at first and her boobs are bit sore, but she likes them), Andrea got part of her ear pierced and I got my nose pierced. The rest of the evening was spent here at the apartment, playing quarters and chilling out on the balcony. Pretty fun if you ask me.
So, my cousin Sarah is getting married next month and I'm a bridesmaid in the wedding. I'm pretty excited for it and all that, but I was most excited by the fact that I get to take a date to the wedding. When you get to take a date to a wedding that means you're actually an adult. Of course I asked Travis to go with me because he's a really good friend and he's one of the few guys I know that would actually travel all the way back to MI to do this for me. Wednesday after he got his lip pierced I was laughing because I was just imagining what my Dad and brothers are going to say when I bring home this guy that smokes and has a lip ring. And that's on top of the fact that they're all going to be suspicious of the possibility of us dating (my Mom asked me if we were when I said I was bringing him to the wedding). Tonight, Travis saw my nose ring and he goes, "You're family is going to think that I'm a bad influence on you and that I made you get it. You need to call up your Mom like tomorrow and tell her that I had absolutely nothing to do with your nose ring!" Which is totally and completely true. My Mom met him and he didn't have a lip ring and I did not have my nose pierced. We're going to go home and both of us will be pierced. They are all going to think he's a bad influence and it will be highly entertaining for me. God I can't wait for him to meet my family!!
