Nigel is healing.

Hope the dream images/symbolism work and I'm not over stretching my aim too far - let me know what you think, feedback is always appreciated.

There's one last chapter after this piece and I'll hopefully write that out tomorrow *looks at time (5.17!!!!!...oops)* er later today, after sleep.

O_O OMG !! *faints*

This is so poignant and, and.... well, healing *happy sigh*

I'm so happy for Nigel. That he trusts and can let go of love of the past to embrace the love of the present!!

You did so well with this! Described the feelings of hurt shifting into healing and I went...this! This is what it feels like. *claps* wonderful, simply wonderful. The meaning of the poppies between the bluebells ^_^ also staggeringly wonderful in its simplicity.

Thank you.

*pout* now I will have to let this go to make Daniel a happy end too ^_^ You can write this with so much more depth than I feel I can. I'm happy I can learn from you ^_^

:D *relief* I'm so glad it worked. Wasn't sure if it came across as dark or healing.

Your comments make me all happy.

Hey we all learn from each other :)
I'm often caught by clever wording people use that I'd never think of.

Yes, yes Daniel needs his happy. Go write it :D

This is a lovely pulsing ache.
Is Ben going to be just one more bunch of red poppies or can he be the biggest clump or more frightening will he be the biggest clump? Of what future does Ben mean to fit into Nigel's life?
The imagery of Nigel's life seen through the painting/mindscape is an effective metaphor.

:)

*enigmatic smile* Nigel doesn't remember the specifics of his dream but it's effects/message will show/be clearer in his day. Ben *sigh* such a lovely person, he must have his own story to be so.

Thanks, I was worried it was overdone :D

Nope, imagery not overdone besides it's a dream and dreamscapes are often majorly about images and general feelings.

This is quite beautiful and poignant - both dark and healing as you depict Nigel's pain and his being guided towards facing and healing whatever damage and loss he has suffered. I am looking forward to the mystery being finally unravelled.

This is beautiful; it's lovely to see the positive steps he's making, and the fact that Nigel's now in a place where he can see it (in a way, I think that's hardest thing, learning to acknowledge your own growth) - and admit the possibility Ben brings. :)

Yep :) I think Ben has been easing his dreams for some time and Nigel has finally reached the place to move on but it's a scary thing to do.

I really, really liked the dream sequence, since it was (someone said, above me) very poignant and beautiful. A lot of people can't pull off dream sequences since they get a little too heavy, but this was nice and light, and I could almost feel the dreaminess (bright and focused, for the most part, but hazy at the edges.) Pretty, pretty.

After starting the stories on such a dark dream I've wanted to lighten thm up. Was worried that I'd gone too far with keeping things that bit 'out there' and dreamlike.

While the hurt is still there this is meant as a positive, even happy dream. Thank you for your comments :)
