NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!
On my way into work yesterday, there was a newly published poll that said 53% of voters in Wisconsin are in FAVOR of the gay marriage ban amendment. Because I do not want to live in a state that bans the idea of gay marriage, and I could not live with myself if I didn't do anything more than vote against it... I'm doing a more.
I've signed the petition and donated what I could. Unfortunately, I don't have huge coffers. Therefore, I am donating my time.
Nullmoniker and have volunteered to do a 4:30 to 8pm "general volunteerism" shift at Fair Wisconsin's Main Office this Sunday (Oct. 8th). Fair Wisconsin has a calendar of shifts that they need volunteers for, and it is SO EASY to sign up.
So, here's the invitation: - I know many of my friends and acquaintances are also against the amendment. So let's work together - volunteer - and maybe have some fun in the process. Join Null and I this Sunday - or sign up for another shift....
And if you can't volunteer your money or your time, at the very least make sure to go VOTE on November 7th! Information here on how to register the day of the vote in Madison .
