Happy Vasant Panchami! I know I usually reserve well wishings like this for my spirituality filter, but today is just... amazing! I'm so grateful...
So, as you know, we've been struggling... a lot. I've been trying to be optimistic, but it's honestly been pretty scary. My family found a great deal on a used washer dryer and pointed us toward it (our apartment has hook-ups) and I had to wear the costume head at work so people couldn't see me crying. We not only couldn't swing that, but we were scared about just barely MAYBE being able to scrape together enough for rent and the car payment. We've been fortunate that we'd stocked up on pet food before all this, and managed to use a few laundry quarters to get Dana her crickets which thank God hadn't flash died on us. The bank was kind enough to roll back our overdraft fees so we could make rent, after some begging.
Now, all of a sudden, not only has Karen been hired on by her favorite company full time, but money came in that we weren't expecting to recieve until mid-Feb! We can make our car payment, rent, AND buy groceries! OMG Food!!! We're going to the store after work. The relief is palpable over here, just... tearfully overjoyed. Today is auspicious in a lot of ways, and I'm just so so so utterly grateful. And on top of all this, the washer dryer? My sister and bro-in-law bought it for us. So so sweet of them. Thank you! And thank you to my friends here too, who've wished us well and prayed for us and even helped us out financially with our bills last month. Thank you. I look forward to paying it forward in the future when we've caught up (I'm still looking for a second job! Lots of catching up to do debt wise!).
