Slowly but surely unpacking and thinking to ourselves "OMFG, we have this much crap still even after 7 trips to Goodwill?" LOL! But we're making progress! In fact, we're gonna go look at couches today. We're pretty in love with
this one! The reptiles are all settled in the bedroom, where they fit like a glove with still plenty of room to spare! I don't feel crowded at all in there, and they're all very happy in their real enclosures. Neptune is cruising and stretching out, more relaxed than I've seen him in a long while.
The bunnies aren't here yet, but there's still a lot of stuff to shift around and get out of the way to make room for their enclosure. We're not going to wait to bunny proof before bringing them, they can stay in the pen, but we need space for the pen. :P I miss my fuzzies! And in thinking that I'd like to put a print of
my Pashupati piece over Falkor's cage, I realized that both Bowie and Cleo are seated at His feet... long before I knew we'd lose Bowie next, I'd drawn him there... I need to get that piece up in the shop still.
All in good time... it's hard to be on the computer for long, because it's on the floor and my back gets angry. But once we have the place all settled, I see myself getting a lot of writing and art done. All the fresh air, the light, the view, the atmosphere, no more tension... I don't feel trapped or smothered anymore. Even though our neighbors smoke, we almost never get it here and certainly not for long because air in CO actually *moves* instead of hanging in stagnant pools of nasty and eeking into everything. We might smell some, but it passes really quickly and all is lovely again. Our stuff smells a bit stale from storage, but amber and jasmine incense is helping with that. ;) Even with the piles of boxes around me. It's peaceful. Feels even better with the scale kids here, and I'll be in total homey bliss once we get the bunnies here, things tidied, and the naked walls properly clothed with artwork.
BTW, my brother irl
jc_crowe has returned to LJ! And he needs to
get his ass over here to hang out! Although I understand perhaps his desire to wait till we have somewhere to park said ass. ;) We miss you Chewie! Thank you for spoiling the bunnies while we prepare for them!
On an unrelated note, this skit is brilliant. Thanks to
myrrhdusa for posting it!
