Well, kinda. I thought it was going to be a party but my supervisor took me to a Krishna temple. It was my first time going to one so it was pretty cool.
You mean an http://www.iskcon.com/ Temple? I'm not real familiar with that group or how they celebrate, were there fireworks or anything? Just curious. :)
International Society for Krisha Consciousness. Here's the Wiki on them. There's numerous different sects of Hindu like there are many different sects of Christian. But they're the most well known Hindu group in the West, and what most people think of when they think of white Hindus. I'm more of an ecclectic liberal Smarta/Saivite Hindu myself. :)

There weren't any fireworks that I'm aware of. What does Iskcon stand for/mean? My supervisor follows it, I'm very unfamiliar.
