I forgot to mention that when we bought the Medusa Lisa painting from the Halloween store a few days ago, I found a second one stuck to the back. When Karen and I went back to return it and browse around some more they'd upped security a LOT and when the security guy wearily asked if the painting was a return (you know Spirit stores, NO returns!) I explain to him what happened and handed it back. He was so ready for an argument and had apparently been having a bad day, you should have seen his face light up in delighted surprise! To illustrate how his day had already been, he showed us some items he'd found stowed away in a baby carrier. Yeash! I've worked retail in that area before though, so yeah... sounds about right. It felt good to make his day just doing what you oughta do. :)
While we were there the second time I got myself a V for Vendetta mask, so if we get any trick or treaters I'll just throw that on with my
Gomez hat. And yes, thats an if. I miss trick or treaters. :/ We decorate anyway!
I'm seriously tempted by a
Roomba at some point. You know, some day in the future when we have money again. I've heard that some people's bunnies handle it well, and vacuuming kills my back. I dunno, food for thought.
Chorebuster is awesome and very helpful, but we're still trying to figure out what we need to add and when/how often. We've got a start though, which is a huge help for Cleo's meds and snake feeding days, as well as poop patrol! The hard part is trying to organize and schedule the creative stuff. Art, writing, Hindi lessons, perhaps even the violin practice I haven't done in like a year. We'll see. Still thinking on how to work that out. I am trying to work on the novel daily though!
EDIT: And on the Roomba thing, don't get me wrong the ShopVac rocks. It sucks up *everything* and is spectacular for big jobs! The plastic is also not very heavy at all. It's the motion of vacuuming that gets me. We'll always have a ShopVac around, but for little day to day bunny messes and fur, it'd be nice to have... well, a robot do it for me.
