The times they are a-telling, and the changing isn't free
Hah! Eat that AOL, everything is officially switched over to g-mail. :P And I have LJ mails again! Woot!
In sad news, I just learned that my neighbor is moving back to Washington state ASAP. They've had it, and have only been here a short while. I don't blame em. I won't miss the chain smoking, but I'll miss the conversations. I really like talking to them. They're pretty cool folks. Everyone else in our side of the building is quite cool, and it's been nice getting to know them. I hope that our next neighbors are equally open-minded, snake and queer friendly, and as a bonus maybe smoke free for once.
Our heading NW will depend upon what happens with Karen's schooling and work. When that's all sorted, we're out of here. But no matter how long that takes, we're not renewing our lease again. Our "here till we get out of state" rule is null and void. It's just gotten too ridiculous. I think losing our check then treating us like criminals immediately followed by more maintenance issues was the last straw. It's a beautiful complex with some cool people living here, but it's drama outweighs it's appeal these days. So even if we have to move again within Phoenix (le sigh) this'll definitely be our last year here. Enough is a enough.
On a semi related note, I made this Lakshmi graphic for Karen. :) She loves having that up at work, and it's a phrase that's inspiring both of us lately. I added it to my user info as well. Fully gankable if anyone likes, sadly I don't know the name of the artist who made the original piece I made this out of..
