Remember that "long shot" position Karen was applying for? SHE GOT IT! I'm so proud! Pay is the same etc, but man she is going to be learning a lot! Diving in head first! Awesomeness!
Snakes are all doing well, and enjoying the new substrate! Which means I have caresheet updating to do. :P Ma-tsu keeps turing her hide around to point in different directions, depending on what she wants to be looking at.
Bowie is insane yet trainable. I think I used the clicker once, MAYBE twice so far to start teaching them to come when I call... I showed a sibling what it sounds like over the phone, and Bowie came charging up like I had treats for him! Except now whenever I do anything... go to the kitchen, tidy, look at him... he thinks I have treats. Even without the clicker! Dude, wtf? Also, as Unut gets bigger Bowie looks smaller. I know it's all in my head, but ... yeah.
Erranding etc to do today, still trying to pull myself away from Bollywood. My Cobra muse is very active in my brain right now, and *loves* it. He wants me to learn Hindi, and um... I don't have that kind of time. Some Hinglish, maybe. I am, however, willing to put some of his favorites on the mp3 player for while I'm on the bike at the gym so long as there's still room for Mana's Eternal Beyond. I'm glad to be learning so much from/about this particular muse, but feeling a little overwhelmed here. He's a very charming and funny brat though, so he gets away with a lot. He's also a fantastic dancer, even if he does say so himself. I look forward to his/her appearance in Full Circle, but it'll be a while. I really need to catch up on the comic, there. So many amusing characters that are nowhere near showing up yet. The Cobra wants me to make Indian icons now too, but dude... stuff to do!
As a side note, when I refer to one of my muses by totem take the gender pronoun with a grain of salt. If I'm using their totem, then I'm talking more generally than a specific male/female/other incarnation.
