Xander is very grateful that Jake is totally not calling Xander on totally not looking - which he is totally not doing...or totally doing...Xander has lost track of the double-negatives - as Angelus struts across the stage.

Except he's less terrified of Angelus than terrified of being seen to enjoy looking at Angelus, not that he doesn't have a healthy respect for the whole would totally kill me in my sleep if something on campus weren't keeping him on good behavior evil vampire deal

Beka thinks Xander should be nicer to her if he doesn't want Angelus to hurt him. Because, just saying, yo, she could maybe protect him. Or at least distract Angelus's attention when Xander's ducking out the window or whatever.

Beka totally doesn't suggest that maybe they should just switch rooms.
