Fang-tastic!
I just had an unexpected week off as a lead in to my planned week off next week. I have to say that it didn't suck.
I've just been hanging around the house mainly, because of the sucky weather. As I didn't feel like reading I went ahead and found me a series I hadn't watched before: True Blood. Knowing me, you all won't be surprised that I full on latched onto that and am not planning on lettin g it go. I was a smart girl though and checked that the show was being renewed before I started on it, because I am getting so sick of vamp-shows being axed!! I don't care too much about Moonlight because except for the first couple of eps I just didn't really like that show too much. But I am still hoping for a miracle for Blood Ties! I need me some more of that love triangle, because Mike/Henry, GUH!! That and I really like Christina Cox. Yeah, yeah, I know I could read the books but I just want it back on tv!
Now, onto True Blood. I started watching it not expecting too much from it because I never really got into Six Feet Under and it's from the same makers. And the first couple of eps I was still on the fence, but somehow I did get drawn into it. It's not your regular vamp show though. It's weird-ish and has a lot of graphic nudity and violence but the characters are very likable, the Southern accent is very amusing and I being the latcher that I am ofcourse I couldn't let go. Vampire Bill's fangs look a little weird though. On the pictures they look like tooth picks and unless I am mistaking they're the second incisors instead of the canines, could be wrong though...
After running through True Blood I decided to delve into my list of movies that I haven't watched yet and went for P.S. I love you and after all the bad comments I'd heard about it I have to say that it wasn't all that bad. And aaaw, James Marsters! *weee* I was disappointed that his part wasn't larger because in the book John is around a little more than in the movie.
Now I am all out of things to watch though, so if you have any recs of shows or other things that I should watch please let me know! I am such a tv junkie...thinking of downloading the new House, but it's the only thing I still watch on tv so I don't want to ruin that...
Think I might start on the christmas cards and decorations. rose_janice I haven't got your snail mail addy, lemme know if you want a card. The rest of my flist is just getting carded against their will! MUAHAHAHA!!
Also, might put together our photobook from this summerholiday
Oh, prolly gonna see James Bond tonight
Next week we might go to Germany to go to a traditional Christmas market! YAY, so corny but so nice!
P.S. Happy belated Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates it. I hope the turkey was good!
