In my first journal entry in 39 weeks, I could hardly pass up the opportunity to do it today. Be warned! It's a fiery return!
Normally I cringe and my hand flies for the dial or the nearest clicker when I see the bushie dubyuh or hear his voice -- it grates on my last nerve -- but this morning, as I drove to work, I had a good laugh that lasted all the way across the top of the loop 101 in heavy traffic.
Of course, the news as you've heard is that the most recent CIA intelligence (oxymoron) briefing is that Iran did stop its plan for building the bomb some several years ago. I pretty much get my news these days from NPR only as I just make that time in the car my time to catch up on the goings-on. I know it's lazy, and I need to get back into the habit, but you know how it goes.
ANYWAY, the CIA is not about to be the fall guy AGAIN for the second installment of the bushie/haliburton takeover of the world's natural resources as they wane well past peak production. So they got guts to let the whole thing out. Yea, CIA.
What's left is a white house staff scrambling and falling over themselves in the huge mud bog of um-biddie-buh-buh-um-um-um.... well... we still hate Iran.
The punchline came this morning as a no-doubt well-rehearsed bushie got up to the microphone and slowly yet deliberately said, "Iran was dangerous. [pregnant pause] Iran is dangerous. [again with the pause] Iran will be dangerous." and then some statement about nuke-you-lar activities. Oh, I did get a good laugh indeed.
I had a second treat this evening as the BBC's "the world" only paraphrased our wannabe-king's words today by saying that the white house said it's position hadn't changed, the US's position hadn't changed and in fact nothing had changed; [because] the president hadn't changed his opinion. Well, isn't it great to know where the center of the universe actually is?
In a related story, Israel has announced plans to build 300 new homes in Arab East Jerusalem. "The world" quoted an israeli official as saying that the "renewed" peace negotiations were not in jeopardy because israel had not violated any of its commitments. The truth once again rears its ugly head and the rogue state's actions speak louder than its words.
But back to Iran. So as the number of countries leaving the bushie warmongering wagon mounts, condie and her cronies scrambled today to hold any remaining thread of credibility the U.S. once had with the world. It'll still be up to israel to bomb Iran -- but that was always the plan anyway. Another pre-emptive attack by the U.S. would quash our last hope for a pledge of goodwill by our fellow nations toward us.
What we really need -- well, what haliburton and the other oil moguls need -- is to get hold of those VAST natural gas, coal, and oil resources in Iran. It'll make trillions of trillions of TRILLIONS in the last 10 years of peak oil before what's left of the starvation-obliterated world's population revolts against its governments.
Now, somebody get me a membership application for the libertarian party and the NRA. And where did I put that advert for the upcoming gun show?! It isn't anymore "what bronze age skill and trade are YOU learning to survive peak oil?", it's "how many GUNS, bombs, ammo and arms have you stockpiled to protect your remote self-powered compound (with well water)?"
