A New Year...
Hey everyone. So a new year is presented to us. Some would say a year of opportunity, of chance, of fate, or even a new beginning for some. I know that with each passing year I am radically different than the previous. What does that mean? I haven't figured that out yet. With each year I change for the wiser, so I like to think. Each year I feel more experienced and wiser than the previous, but how come things don't get easier? They only seem to further complicate and become more difficult. Hrrrmmp. That's a toughie.
On a less philosophical note, Twilight Zone is on. I love this show. There was an awesome episode called, "The Monsters are due on Maple Street". The narration at the end was amazing. I love Rod Serling. It was a good episode because it kinda reminded me of The Mist, the whole, mob mentality thing, and how scary that can be. How we can't listen to those who blindly point fingers and are too ready to jump to conclusions and blame thy neighbor...et cetera. "ET CETERA, ET CETERA, ET CETERA!!!!" I <3 the King.
Bought more books. Last thing I need. But they were Stargate books. Do you have any idea how hard those are to find? For the last 2 or 3 years, out of habit I look in the section where they would be...and never are they there. Until one day, when I specifically tell people, "Don't let me walk outta here with books in my hand..." GO FUCKIN' FIGURE. There are two stargate books, which I promptly snatch, and an Atlantis one as well. Didn't even know those existed.
Kinda hungry. Had a delicious dinner though. MMMmmm...wings. Those wings at Phil's were good.
I broke my resolution before the dawn of a new day. How sad is that?!?!?! Oh well. Just goes to show our endless dependence on technology. My resolution WAS to not touch the computer for 2 or 3 days, but for one reason or another I needed it. Ooy. Can't get away from this crack.
