Indeed, love, ideally, is something we feel and we need to use the word to describe the feelings to another person. However, as you said, it can also just be something we say to break the silence, because we're in trouble, because we want something, because we want the other person to feel closer to us....
Personally for me, the term love just doesn't cut it in certain cases. It's too overused and has too many levels. I won't even go into that. *sigh*
Love can change - almost definitely. It can go from friendship to the top. The question is, how often and how quickly can it change? Once you go from that friendship level of love, can you ever get it back? If you can't, what does that say? Does it mean that the friendship love never really existed, or does it mean that any level of love higher than that never existed. How can you go from loving someone with all your being, caring so much about them, to simply just loving them as a friend?
There are so many more things I could say, but it'll just keep getting more and more confusing and soon you won't be able to understand at all anymore, that is to say you understood anything I've said so far.
There was so much more I had to say that I actually had typed out already, but then it just kept getting more confusing and I couldn't get it down correctly to make sense. I hate that. But then again thats kind of like love isn't it? It's confusing and overwhelming sometimes and you can't always express yourself in words and really have the other person understand what you're feeling.
This whole reply is just rambling confusion but I can't not post it because... because I just can't not do it...
