*Sniff*
School exchange is over. ;w; After this week in Germany, Poland looks... so empty. xD" I enjoyed almost everything. My family was totally nice; I couldn't help so I just hugged Annika's mum. ♥ As a gift, I gave them a wicker basket with Polish sausages and oscypek cheese. Plus
krówki for Annika's sister and Wawel's chocolates for Annika. I think they liked them. ^^ (Especially krówki. ♥)
Hahaha, I remember when we crossed the border - my friend, Pati, said: "I don't know, but it really seems we are in Germany... Even trees look more straight." xDD And when we were hanging around Dortmund, she added: "They are not humans! Any, literally any car is clean - even trucks! It's abnormal!" XD
But, there was a situation, which wasn't funny at all... I mean, my family was typically Aryan. That wasn't bad, but when they met their friends of family, who were Aryan too, I became feeling out of it... xD"" I know, I'm stupid. >>'
Ok, so now I would like to describe this week day by day. ^^
Sunday. We arrived to Dortmund one hour before we had planned to. But our Germans came earlier too. I had made a big resolve that I will be talking in German and at first it was going quite good. But sometimes I had to go to English, ehh. orz My family took me for a boat's festival (or something like that). Quite nice, I like water and boats. XD
There were also some competitions:
At the evening we were playing some board games. I lost Silesia. T_T'
Monday. We were exploring Aplerbeck - the quarter of Dortmund. Of course there couldn't miss the timber framing (Fachwerk) style:
Two Evangelical churches:
Below there's very funny building, mimicking Hundertwasser's style:
I can't believe Ludwig built something like that. XD I'm sure Feliks bought him paint. ♥
I very like the unofficial town hall in Aplerbeck:
Time to explore Dortmund! We started from marketplace. There we met our Polish guaider and we could compare old town hall to the new one. Let's see:
The old one.
The new one.
Did somebody noticed, that the new town hall is square?
Anyway, there were silvers and a model of the main part of Dortmund. I like this kind of stuff.
Near the town hall there was a fragment of pavement with the names of people who died for AIDS:
Among others there was also Michael Jackson.
Further, there were two fountains which I liked, so I took photos:
At the evening Annika and me came to two another German girls with Poles from exchange. We were playing games and German side won again. xd
Tuesday. We started from synagogue (which was... square) and then we went to
Ruhr Muzeum in Essen, but because I had to left my bag in cloakroom, I didn't took photos. (Ah, yes, I could take my camera with me, but I didn't think about it orz) So I have only this one:
Generally museum was interesting, but we had to make some stupid quiz made by our teachers, so everyone thought only about filling it as quickly as it was possible. Ehh... But because of that mess we realized that one of bodyguards was a Pole (French-Polish-German, exactly). After a few minutes man took us a service elevator and helped us to fill one of questions. XD
This evening I was playing playstation with Annika. She overplayed me in SingStar and EyeToy. "orz
Wednesday. At first we went to our German friends' school.
As I noticed, their school has many school's partners.
We had to pass the report of our yesterday's quiz. It was long and boring...
But after this we went for kanuing - it was an adventure!
Everything was fine and great until the last 2-3 meters, when our kanu bumped another one off, then fell on a coastal tree and tiped over. xd' We were totally soaked to the skin but we had a big luck that the weather was quite warm. I cannot understand only one thing: German's reaction. There were a lot of people who were just staying on the shore and staring at us. Nodoby helped. I'm sure in Poland there would be at least one man, who would jump to the water and help... But, well. After all we survived so that's good.
Pati had lost her sunglasses which were quite expensive, but when mother of her German girl heard about it, she said that she buy her new sunglasses. o_o It was a big, but such a nice surprise!
This evening my whole family was watching Germany's next Top Model so I was doing it too. Lol, why such corny shows are always such popular? And why they attracts attention so much? Even I became going through it. xd' Yeah, I didn't like Laura too.
Thursday. We visited Premonstratensians' monastery. But my photos of its are completely dark. >>" So I have only this:
The one of a few tables on the fountain near the monastry. Why did I take this photo? Because there is a text in Polish language - "Módl się i pracuj". I'm curious, which language is below...
After this point of journey we went for a cruise by a ship ahead the Rhine river. It was senseless. ఠ_ఠ We were just sitting on a deck during two hours... Some of us slept. xd The views weren't beautiful too. Eh, eh, eh, useless. But I have my photo:
Friday. We went to Münster - very nice city! There is about 120 000 bicycles (per 60 000 people) so the city is very ecological and the air is very clean. So this view isn't something special:
They are are so~ cute! I wanted to come closer and to take much sharp picture, but some elder person startled them. ==
Now, some buildings, which I especially liked in this city:
Manor house (which was always just for showboating) and an original sundial with affiliate cities on it:
Below there is a big, beautiful Catholic church. The clock is atypical, because it has 24 hours and shows that all planets and Sun are revolving around Münster city. There is also similar system like on Wawel - at the noon there are walking figures through the balcony. (But on Wawel this kind of atraction is at any o'clock hour).
Btw this organ are constructed by a Pole. x3
Last two photos: sheeps (on optician's shopwindow) and me.
Saturday. The whole Polish-German group met at the German's school to eat a common good-bye breakfast. After it we had a free time until 4.30 pm when we went to a coach station and definitely said Auf Wiedersehen to our German friends. ;w;
Heh, even with these photos I cannot tell about everything, there is too much things! I hope I'll be keeping this nice memories still a long time... :)
