Ugh...I hate people...

So client sent me a check. Yay!

Went to deposit it. Yay!

Then found out it got returned. Now I have a total of $25 in my account because of mother-effin' bank fees. I don't understand that. Why am I being punished for someone else's mistake?

You would think so...but no. Sometimes I think it would better if I just stuffed my cash in my mattress -- late fees? pay myself! overdrafted? pay myself! I'm starting to like this idea more and more... :P

You need better clients! Urgh. I know a freelancer who adds a late fee note to each invoice... not that she's ever invoked it, but it wouldn't hurt!

The sad thing about this whole thing is that she was one of my better clients. And also, I hate being all confrontational and pissy with people, you know? I'll do it if I have to but if I can avoid it like the plague, I will. :/

WTF???? First, she gets you to do all that work, then you have to chase her around for the money and then she writes you a bad check..and on top of that YOU have to pay bank fees.

that's all shades of wrong, it's one giant..and to quote one hell of a great line...cluster fuck.

If you really wanted to get to her, make HER pay your fees too.

This was a different client, one of my better ones, actually. I'm hoping maybe she just had a bad week or whatever and forgot that she owed me moo-lah. :/
