Frankenspider and Other Interesting Happenings

Today was the second day in a row that i got into the shower, and was scared witless by a huge, GINORMOUS spider, which in my hysterics i named Frankenspider.  It wasn't enough that i had Stacy kill one for me yesterday, but another one decided to make my bathroom it's home today, and if I didn't know that the first Frankenspider was definately ( Read more... )

maybe you two should try hitting up clubs in your area? i'm pretty sure there's a good amount of gay clubs out there.
sucks that you can't have pets at your apartment but atleast you have the guts to be rebellious & get yourself some rats. haha. :P
and, um. my dad bought me a cheap-ass digital camera at best buy last christmas but i'm pretty sure your parents would be willing to shell out more money than my parents would. i guess stop by your nearest best buy or something & ask them about it? i honestly don't know all that much about digital cameras.

if there were any 18 and over clubs i would be there in a heartbeat. unfortunately, all the clubs in the area are either 21 and over or 18 and under. i don't have a fake ID so i can't get into the 21 clubs and the 18 and under clubs are filled with 15 year old teenyboppers. *sigh* if only i was 21... just 4 more months and then i will be partying till the break of dawn!! :oP

I know a little, but I also asked the Rob on your behalf (he's a photo guru bordering on deification, and I'm not just saying that because I'm his girlfriend):

1) Adobe Photoshop is the only program he recommends, however from what I've seen this can be ungodly expensive unless you can find someone with a pirated copy *cough cough* and for me it tends to be too much for just everyday stuff -- I have done just fine with a copy of MGI Photosuite and while it doesn't let me do as much as Photoshop does it does pretty well, although I have an older version than the one at that link that I got from my Dad so that may influence that evaluation. I think a new, updated, shiny version runs somewhere between $30-$50. I guess it depends what all you want to do with a photo mod program.

2) Rob also recommends checking out DPReview.com for recommendations on cameras. Also, I haven't had any complaints about my Kodak EasyShare CX6200 (the closest thing I've found to that is the CX7300, shown here), plus it has the added benefit of being damn near ( ... )

Much thanks, that was more info than I was expecting! My dad is some what of a gadget freak, so I'm sure he'll be able to find a good deal, but with your info I'll be a little more informed, and i might be able to give him some help too. :o)
