How Dr. House became the decrepit-looking being that he was:

Perhaps Kate Bush was not the only one to have written songs about imaginary scientific misadventures, but no-one I have heard so far does it with the kind of clarity, the kind of sheer noir, that she works with.

I have watched both Fry & Laurie and House before, but it had never occurred to me that Laurie and Dr. Gregory House were the same person - until I came across the BBC special Fry & Laurie: Reunited last night. Talk about observational skills ;though it is not as if I have watched many episodes of either show - the act of sitting still and staring at a little screen, for me, is more tiring than running several kilometres. What happens normally when I, say, read Wikipedia or study (if I ever do), is that I would complete a paragraph or two, circle around the the room for a few rounds, and continue again. To sit in a cinema for two hours is pure exasperation, and even for YouTube videos longer than ten minutes I have to adopt a start-stop strategy.

I have been revisiting, of late, comedy series I used to watch when I was younger - and discovering many episodes that I have missed.

Last night, I dreamt that all high school graduates in this country seeking to travel overseas for further studies had to declare, at the zoo, that they had not committed any acts of bestiality. And every single one of my classmates had done it on the day they received the notice - save for me - who had to be reminded of it several days later. Talk about efficiency.
